“ Stopped here for food after a long walk. Lovely small restaurant which is themed just like an American diner. I had the Cheese burger which was really good. Nicely cooked meat, really good pretzel bun and large amount of crispy fries. My wife had the Chicken Parmo which was also really good (and a lot of food!) Perfectly cooked chicken with lovely crispy coating and topped with an insane amount of bechamel sauce and cheese. It was so big that the fries came in a separate bowl as they wouldn't fit on the place! We don't drink fizzy drinks and sometimes it can feel uncomfortable to just order tap water, but after bringing our water over, we were told we could refill them ourselves from the water machine at the front of the bar. Lovely meal with good food and really friendly service. Would recommend this place, and we will be back! ”

“ This place is unreal, from the decor to the music to the food, we couldn't fault the place. We liked it that much we went back for our second night. The staff were lovely and the service was great. The food didn't take to long either. Just gutted we didn't get to try a dessert or milkshake because they look amazing . I've got family visiting Whitby over the next two weeks and they're all paying a visit. ”

“ This is the only place to go for breakfast in Whitby [I know that Emma's do offer other food and drinks and I assume that they will be as fabulous as their breakfasts, but we have only been in for breakfast]. All of the ingredients were first class and they were cooked to perfection. Can't fault it at all. The Diner is 50's American diner themed and is just fabulous, all very high class. Even the waitresses are dressed in 1950's dresses. To top this Emma's dress the cafe for the seasonal events, we have been in at Halloween and Yule and the diner has been decked out in seasonal costume. A place to go, everything is first class. Go on treat yourself, go to Emma's Diner at Whitby. ”

“ My wife and I went to Emma's leading up to the Goth Weekend last month for a late afternoon meal. The diner is 50s themed, and a splash of good old Elvis. We both had hot dogs which were very delicious and filling. The milkshakes were bigger than expected and very tasty, it took both of us to finish off just one! However, the fries were honestly some of the best tasting fries we have ever had. Not too salty, crispy, they were absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be going again upon our return to Whitby in the future. ”
